“I no longer do, but I used to live in a Hanok house as a child. So, I’ve always yearned for the distinct vibe our family’s old Hanok house used to have. I was tossing and turning about what to do when I retired. I love meeting new people, and I wanted to show people how charming a Hanok house could be. That’s what drove my decision to open Myeongmunga.”
Since ancient times, people have looked up to families with well-educated and virtuous people. These families were often called a “Myeongmunga.” I wanted my guests to feel as valued as those great families, which is why I named my house Myeongmunga.
We are in close proximity to Omokdae and the Hyanggyo Confucian Academy. It can serve as a perfect base camp if you are looking to visit attractions in and around the Hanok Village. Moreover, we have rooms with a cozy and quiet atmosphere that are very popular among our guests. We always treat our guests with kindness, so when they leave Jeonju and return to their homes with great memories from the Jeonju Hanok Village.
Our goal is to accommodate every visitor with warmth and friendliness. In doing so, Myeongmunga hopes to become a house that people want to visit again one day.
