For a long period of time, my family has lived in this 70-year-old house. As I wanted to share spaces full of memories with other people, I opened Hanok Iyagi in 2014.
Both domestic and foreign visitors love the persimmon tree near the gate and consider it our mascot. My father planted it 33 years ago when my daughter was born. Although the fruits are ready to harvest in the fall, I do not pick them to allow people to enjoy them. The ambience that Hanok (traditional Korean house) and persimmons create is amazing.
We write stories that embrace Hanok and a persimmon tree in the yard.
