When I was learning how to embroider, I realized embroidery art would brighten up Hanok (traditional Korean house). With the popularization of Jeonju Hanok Village, I opened a new guesthouse.
Since young, I have liked banyan, which is called ‘borisu’ in Korean. ‘Jasu’ refers to embroidery. I have been involved in hand embroidery over the past 15 years. I combined my two favorite things.
My embroidery works give a cozy look to our 100-year-old house. It is rewarding to get compliments from our guests. It is also my pleasure to communicate with them through a free course. Some guests stay with us to participate in the course.
I anticipate that everyone who visits Borisu Jasu Sukbak will be able to recognize the traits of Hanok. I am always ready to beautifully embroider their travel.
