For 40 years, my mother has lived in this cozy house, situated under Omokdae Dangsannamu. Five years ago, while I stayed with her, I decided to turn her house into a place that could be shared with those exploring gems in Gyo-dong.
‘Gaon’ refers to ‘center’; so, ‘Gyodong Gaon’ means ‘center of Gyo-dong.’ Even though it is a little far from hot spots in Jeonju Hanok Village—public parking lots and the Taejo-ro area, I am proud to say that Gyodong Gaon has its own distinctive charm.
Nothing compares with the view from the second floor terrace. Trails look different as the season changes. I particularly like the fall foliage and snowy scenery.
My mom and I still reside in the main building. We endeavor to provide comfortable and courteous service to our guests.
