“Years ago, I just happened to stay the night at the Hanok Village with my friends, and to my surprise, I woke up in the morning feeling really refreshed and completely rested. I felt my batteries draining from my 9-to-5 job, so I needed to shake things up. That’s when Danjam caught my eye. I wanted to give other people the experience I had when I stayed at a Hanok, and that’s how I started running Danjam.”
I named my place “Danjam” because I want guests traveling to the Jeonju Hanok Village to get away from their exhausting day, leave all of their worries and woes at the door, and enjoy the most refreshing and sound sleep they’ve ever had.
I built Danjam with natural lumber, Red Clay from Gochang, which is known for its health benefits, and added charcoal to the flooring. These good-quality materials help you sleep warmly in winter, and keep the rooms from becoming too humid in summer. Danjam also has a cafeteria where our guests can read a book over a light cup of tea, or relax and enjoy a glass of beer in the evening.
Danjam always strives to deliver a good night's sleep and a sweet start to the day to all of our visitors.
