“I wanted to talk to people and share our lives together. I looking for something fun that could give me that type of experience when I first decided to run Kkachi. One thing led to another, and I chose to go all in on Kkachi.”
I wanted to create a place where people could feel completely at home. So, I started to play around with words like “Jib” (home), “Kkachi” (magpie), and the idea of a “comfortable place.” Also, magpies are considered auspicious animals that bring good news, so I chose the name “Kkachi.”
Kkachi is a modern reinterpretation of a traditional Hanok house, which is why it feels much more comfortable for our guests. I have added modern touches to the interior and exterior of the building, while trying my best to preserve the charm and beauty of the old Hanok architecture, including the rafters, wooden porch, and traditional windows. We have a full kitchen where our guests can cook themselves, top-notch amenities, and even a styler. This makes us the perfect destination for guests traveling with their entire family. So far, we have had nothing but rave reviews from our international guests and families that spent their time at Kkachi. If you're looking for a Hanok Stay that feels comfortable like your own villa, a quality experience at a Hanok house, visit us at Kkachi.
