In my childhood, I loved staying at my grandmother’s Hanok (traditional Korean house). Remembering the times when I had dinner with my family, I searched for a place where I could share that warm and welcoming climate. Finally, I found it. I started my own restaurant here more than ten years ago, even before Jeonju Hanok Village was completed.
I named it ‘Yangbanga’ with the purpose of serving hearty and fancy meals that the Yangban, which refers to the ruling class during the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), ate in a beautiful vintage building. I believe Yangbanga can be the perfect venue for special occasions as well.
Our dishes have no MSG. Only using natural seasonings, we try to preserve the flavors of each ingredient.
Please visit Yangbanga and eat healthy amid an elegant and quiet atmosphere.
