I had an interest in the efficacy of Siraegi (dried radish greens), rich in vitamins and minerals. Siraegi Guk is a delicious, easy-to-digest soup and ensures a feeling of satisfaction and fullness. As a native of Jeonju Hanok Village, I would love to introduce to visitors Siraegi Guk, even though Bibimbap (rice topped with meat and assorted vegetables) and Kongnamul Gukbap (soybean sprout and rice soup) are recognized as the representative delicacies of Jeonju.
We grind raw perilla seeds in water, squeeze out the liquid—using a cheesecloth, and then add the milky white liquid to the soup. Made with vegetables from our garden, side dishes come with Siraegi Guk. Our set menu has two choices: Ssuktteok Tteokgalbi (grilled rib patties with mugwort rice cake) or Dombe (steamed pork slices). We proudly provide an abundant and wholesome meal.
Regretfully, young people are still unfamiliar with Siraegi. Once they try it, I trust that they will be hooked.
We are Gyodong Si Rae Cheong, which makes our customers feel valued like family.
