“Years ago, I came to Jeonju on a family trip. I remember being surprised by the ambiance of the city and by just how pretty Hanok houses were. I really wanted to live there, and that’s one of the reasons why my family and I moved to Jeonju. We moved just as the Hanok Village was evolving into a major tourist attraction. I had studied coffee in school, so our family decided to open a cafe at the Hanok Village.”
The name “1322” comes from the street number of our home address: 132-2, Gyo-dong, Jeonju-si.
The house itself was built during the reign of King Sukjong. If you look at the beams and ceiling, you can see the beautiful structure of a traditional Hanok building in its original form. Also, our customers enjoy the unique Hanok-style courtyard, and we do our best to prepare delicious jujube and ginger tea, Ssanghwatang tea, and fruit marmalade.
1322 wants to be one of those places where you can take a relaxing break at the Hanok Village, a place where you can stop by any time, and a place that leaves a good impression about the Hanok Village on people’s minds.
