“On my first trip to the Hanok Village, I was disappointed because it didn’t have a cafe that really fit the traditional ambiance of the Village. So, I thought it would be a great idea to open a Korean dessert cafe that really blends into its surroundings at the Hanok Village. That’s how I started creating my own beverage and dessert recipes for Miaedam.” I believe that when you put your love into the food you are cooking, people get a real joy out of eating your food. The name “Miaedam” means that we serve food with love for those who visit us. The signature items on our menu are the Ssanghwacha tea, which is made with regular pine nuts and yellow pine nuts from Gapyeong, and the fruit Chapssaltteok rice cake made with fresh fruit. We do everything we can to use nothing but the best and high-quality ingredients. We prepare our beverages and food the way we would for our own children and our own family. We take extra care so that our customers can trust our food.
