I worked in the publishing business in Seoul and moved back to my hometown, Jeonju. My family encouraged me to start a guesthouse business. A lot of thoughts went into naming our guesthouse. My expectation that our guests will be happy is included in ‘Haengbok Gadeuk,’ meaning ‘full of happiness.’ We remodeled the house, which had no yard, and created it with flowers, ivies, and pine trees planted. Our house features rooms with exposed rafters and a lush green garden. I pay special attention to the spatial arrangement with guests’ convenience in mind, in addition to cleanliness and kindness. I hope all staying here with us will fully enjoy our relaxing ambience as well as Jeonju Hanok Village.
