Since I was young, my love for flowers has lasted. Even when I lived in an apartment, I grew 70 different types of flowers in the pot on the balcony. My husband and I aspired to build a single-family home with a lush garden and get along with others here. After years of planning, we came to own this house. The name ‘Kkot Jari (meaning ‘place where flowers grow’) was chosen before completion. We remodeled a 90-year-old house. With deliberation, we created a garden of our dreams, 330 square meters in area, and a rooftop overlooking Jeonju Hanok Village. Our garden was awarded at the 2020 Great Garden Contest. Eight years have passed since we started Kkot Jari. We are honored and pleased to be able to greet guests, as the beauty of the old house and garden has deepened. What we expect is that they will cherish the memories of Kkot Jari.
