Chogajib
An elegant and serene experience, Chogajib
“I was born and raised in the Hanok Village. It’s been such a happy journey so far. My dream was to live and work at the Hanok Village, which is home to so many happy memories, and that dream came true when I came across this place that eventually became my own Hanok Stay.” This house is more than 100 years old. I named it “Chogajib” because that’s what it is - a thatched-roof house. We’ve been featured in the Lonely Planet magazine because we’ve managed to preserve the look and feel of a traditional thatched-roof house. If you happen to see our yard while looking around the Hanok Village, it will most likely stop you in your tracks. You’ll fall in love with the way the thatched-roofed house and the yard blend together. You can even come in and have some traditional tea we make ourselves. Chogajib looks especially charming on a snowy or rainy day. Of course, it looks great on a sunny day as well, but we recommend visitors feel the ambiance on an overcast day. We’ve seen plenty of guests come back on their own, just to enjoy the view again. Chogajib feels cool in summer, and warm in winter. 100-year-old thatched-roof house Chogajib both looks beautiful and feels cozy.
